Treasures of the Deep

Myths and legends tell of octopuses occasionally carrying ships to the bottom of the sea within their powerful tentacles. Sailors often regarded them as guardians of treasure, protecting precious riches hidden beneath the waves.

Inspired by these stories, Treasure of the Deep features a large shell, meticulously recreated from a natural specimen. Supported by intertwining tentacles and crowned by a golden fish, the sculpture evokes the mysteries of the underwater world and the treasures said to rest upon the ocean floor.

Combining marine forms with mythological symbolism, the work celebrates the beauty, wonder, and enduring allure of the sea.
